Interns are treated as peers/colleagues and expected and given the autonomy to take initiative and make decisions based on critical thinking. However, this internship programme is unique in the mentorship and guidance we provide. Thus, interns are tasked with professional, mission-critical activities, given the freedom to develop course of action, while also having professional guidance upon which to rely when needed. Interns must have a desire to learn on a professional level and seize the potential this opportunity provides by having the commitment to learning and performing their work to the calibre expected. As a result, the interns will attain an experience that will assist in opening the doors to their future goals and have unique skill sets that are not learned in an academic setting and are slowly learned in a job setting that is not catered to intern talents and objectives. This experience is individualised for each intern, so they are ahead of competition for future aspirations.
